Excerpt from chapter 12 of Kaylee’s Adventures:
They found a caterpillar, and Nanny was shocked Kaylee didn’t have a book for identifying caterpillars. “Your daddy used to spend hours finding caterpillars and identifying them! Did he ever tell you about St. Michael, his caterpillar?”
Kaylee’s eyes were huge. “He had a caterpillar named St. Michael?”
Nanny smiled and explained, “Yes, he did. He fed it, cleaned its home, measured it for growth, and watched it form a cocoon. Then he watched it hatch into a beautiful butterfly! … Hmmm.” Nanny thought for a minute.
